Introduction:
Jamia Darul Uloom Islamia was founded in 1948 as per instruction by the great Islamic scholar Allama Shabir Ahmad Usmani. Allama Shabbir Ahmad Usmani was one of the Islamic Scholars who participated in the freedom movement of Pakistan with Qauid -e -Azam Muhammad Ali Jinah And hoisted Pakistan’s Flag after freedom.

First period:
In the beginning Moulana Mateen Khateeb was appointed as administrator then Qari Siraj Ahmad.
Services of famous experts have been acquired for teaching Tajweed like Qari Abdul Malik Shauqi, Qari Siddique Lakhnavi, Qari Izhar Ahmad Thanvi and Qari Iftikhar Ahmad Usmani.
Nazira Quran, Hifz -e -Quran, Tajweed and primary education of Dars -e -Nizami was given to the students till 1983.

Second Period:
In 1983 Moulana Muhammad Malik Kandhlvi was selected by the members of advisory committee as head of the committee. He appointed Moulana Musharraf Ali Thanvi (late) as Principal and then after wards a new period began.
Musharraf Ali Thanvi invited his younger brother Dr. Ahmad Mian Thanvi for teaching who was studying in Islamic University of Madina (Saudi Arabia) Qari Ahmad Mian Thanvi joined Jamia Darul Uloom Islamia after completion of his higher education.
Both of them introduced a unique education system by combining the two disciplines: Dars e Nizami and Tajweed o Qira'at. Both disciplines were made compulsory for every student. In 1992 the contemporary education was also merged.
This unique system gives  an opportunity to the students to acquire three different kinds of education at a time within one class room.Jamia Darul Uloom Islamia was already famous for Tajweed and Qira'at, now it became an ideal education institute.

• To aware the students of Jamia Darul Uloom Islamia modern recourses of education.
• To provide Education without politics and sectarianism.
• To Prepare Islamic scholars to preach Islam for foreign people.

Teachers, students and other employees of Jamia are bound to honor Hazrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi's thoughts and teachings of Ahl e Sunnat Wal Jama'at (Deobandi) explained in the Holy Quran and Sunnah and to follow the life of Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and his companions (R.A).
They are expected that love of wealth never takes place in their hearts and interested in hereafter life.
